PREPARATION

Racecar preparation is extremely important. It is imperitive that it is done in an organized fashion, and with the proper tools. Work should be done in a well lit, and clean area. Any part that is installed on the car should be tightened the moment that it is installed. A very key ingredient to proper preparation are checklists. Here are the basic checklists for the FormulaSPEED:

• Full Prep: This should be done every 500 miles
• Quick Prep: This is what should be done every 100 miles
   
• In Between Sessions:  These are minimums for every break in between sessions. See prep sheets for additional items to be checked.

1. Fuel; 25 min practice session: 7 gals
2. Inspect Tires
3. Torque wheels
4. Set tire pressures
5. Wipe down
